Crim Law is going to be fun. Partly because of the subject matter: it’s not everyday (I would assume) that a class opens up with a frank discussion of the murder and cannibalism of a cabin boy while lost at sea. Mostly, however, because of the professor, who is challenging and intense and severe in her pursuit of a line of thought, regardless of the struggles of her students. She will continue to ask questions that push the boundaries of what we know, and does so in a way that is welcoming and adversarial at the same time. One of my classmates has already mentioned that she’s a little bit in love with the professor, and though it has not yet developed into a full Contracts-crush a la last semester, it’s looking pretty certain that this will be the class that keeps me interested and motivated for the next several months.
